Pierre-Yves, co-founder of My Web Hub, talks to us about his background, his motivations and why supporting entrepreneurs and workers in their online development is important to him.

" My name is Pierre-Yves, and I've been an online tools and resources integration consultant for almost 20 years. »
Who is he exactly?
" The one that's always talking about tools. Whether for personal or professional needs, for small details or big projects, there are always online solutions to improve everyday life. »
What's his journey?
" My first computer used Windows 85 and my first interaction was with a chess game (Battle Chess). That's how I discovered a new game and could learn more about it. I was 5 years old. »
" When I was 11, I discovered the Internet, the one you could only use by occupying the phone line, and that downloading music could take hours. My main interaction was with discussion forums. »
" In France, forums were extremely popular and already enabled people to learn lots of things, including how to create their own forum, use it to interact with people with different skills like graphic design, programming and so on. »
" After years of learning all sorts of things and years of study in another field, followed by a certificate in web accessibility, I started offering my services as a virtual assistant. »
" Today, it's a pleasure to share my knowledge and experience. »
What are his convictions?
" I'm as much a dreamer as I am a realist. I'm as capable of being optimistic to aim high as I am of being pragmatic to get there in a reasonable way. I appreciate everyone's passions and strengths. It's a pleasure to find ways to propel everyone forward in their own way. »

Why create My Web Hub?
Our project grew out of a growing concern about the mental health crisis among entrepreneurs and workers in Canada.
According to a recent survey, nearly 60 % of Canadian workers suffer from symptoms of anxiety or depressionbut almost 40% doesn't dare to seek help because of stigma or lack of resources.
So we created My Web Hub to improve the mental health of entrepreneurs and workers by providing personal and professional development training through online workshops, articles, resources, instructional videos and more.
