Chloé Sincerny

Occupational Mental Health Specialist

My passion for mental health at work and entrepreneurship is intrinsically linked to my deep conviction that the key to well-being, both at work and outside, lies in learning and sharing. This also applies to companies: they must commit to learning and sharing their experiences. Mental health is not just an individual responsibility!

My current career path, including my studies in psychology and social sciences, is aimed at better understanding the psychological and societal issues of the modern world and being able to help the community in a coherent and informed way with the knowledge I have gained. My academic career at TÉLUQ has been marked by a constant quest for balance between academic excellence, my commitment to community service and taking care of myself.

Anecdote: I have a severe visual handicap. My right eye is legally blind. My left eye has a field-of-view percentage of 40%. My visual acuity is limited and the whole thing can't be adjusted. I was born this way. I also have a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD), which explains a lot of things in my life.

And yet, my first learning experience with a computer began when I was 5, in 1994. I learned to play chess.

Then, when I was 10, in 1999, I discovered discussion forums where I learned to create my own websites to share knowledge as well as passions.

Cathy Maltais

Content Creator

I'm Cathy.

After 15 years in the civil service, I took the plunge in November 2023 and left “security” to pursue freedom. I'm now a freelance copywriter and graphic designer. It was a liberating choice that today allows me to believe in what I do and to feel the appreciation of my work.

In April 2024, drawn by their commitment to workers' mental health, I responded to a request to volunteer for My Web Hub.

I wasn't expecting anything specific, but the team's positive response, their confidence and my meeting with Chloé meant a lot to me. I now write the weekly posts for the organization's social media.

Working with My Web Hub is a source of pride for me, as the organization offers essential tools to improve well-being at work, emphasizing that earning a living shouldn't be a burden.

My own mental health hasn't always been the best, but thanks to the support of structures like My Web Hub, it's now much more balanced and healthy. I'm a firm believer that even if you can go at it alone, with support you'll definitely go further.
